So here we are in February. If you're anything like me, winter is not something you look forward to...it's more like something you survive. Over the years, I've been able to find the joy in winter. But at a certain point, usually around mid February, I just get tired of being positive about the winter. I'm ready for the thaw. I JUST CANT EVEN ANYMORE. One of the ways I've been able to find joy in the winter is through making it a point to get out and photograph. Even when it's cold. Even when it's windy. Some of the most beautiful images I've ever captured have been on insanely cold snow covered beaches. I love photographing sunrises. I love photographing surf. I don't think either will get old for me. But when the alarm goes off and the weather reads 22 degrees with a frigid 15-20 WNW wind, my first instinct is NO F-ING WAY. SEE YOU IN APRIL. Most of the time I can fight through that first thought and think about how stoked I'll be once
