Dave and Kim's wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfect. On a cloudy, hot, and humid day in mid-June Dave and Kim tied the knot. Literally and figuratively (their ceremony included a traditional hand tieing ritual). The rain held off just long enough for the two to share their vows. And as soon as they were done sharing their vows, the universe christened the marriage with a 2 minute downpour! And then it abruptly stopped. You can't make this stuff up... YMCA Camp Zehnder is a little Oasis wedged between Wall, Brick, and Howell, with open fields, dirt roads, and a small lake. We had a blast walking around the grounds after the ceremony creating some beautiful portraits.  Dave and Kim's appetite for life is infectious. And it's not surprising that the their ceremony was marked by lots of friends and some of the best dance moves I've ever seen.  I was super grateful to be able to capture it! ...

Sometimes it's worth it to drive 30 minutes to do a 20 minute shoot. With the sun setting and temperature dropping, Kelly and I walked through the trails of Cattus Island Park. I am so grateful to have a friend like Kelly who's willing to brave some cold temperatures to have some creative fun! I knew I wanted to do a snow shoot at least once this winter. And with the temperature expected to get warmer later in the week, I knew the window was small. Cattus Island was the perfect setting for this. I'd never been there before, but I can't wait to go back because it is amazing spot.
